Hi lenron,
When you factor several "Pro tools HDX" cards and a video card you'll start to 
see that the Mac Pro is a natural fit.
I already have that mac mini which requires you to buy a external "thunderbolt" 
card cage to house all the Avid Cards & is a bit slower!
Besides with the way the USA economy is doing it will pay for its self down 
stream! :)
Also since the  Mac pro is made in the US it will just ad fuel to the Jobs 
market!
