Hello, I am running the latest Catalina on my iMac and the latest IOS 13 on iPhones and iPad. I have a lot of music on my iMac mostly downloaded from CDs many Mac OS releases ago. This is automatically copied to my iPhone by connecting it to the iMac by the USB cable.
I would like to transfer this music to my wife’s iPhone and iPad. She is on her own Apple ID and her devices have never been connected to my iMac. I have looked at the Mac App MyFone iTunes Mate but it does not look accessible to VO users. My first worry is that connecting my wife’s iPhone or iPad to my iMac might erase the content on those devices and set them up as new devices. How can I stop that happening? I cannot find any option to not automatically sync all connected IOS devices as soon as they are connected. I can get the music MP3 files onto my wife’s devices using airdrop but cannot then get them into herMusic APp. She thus cannot set up playlists and the like. On my iMac i could just play an MP3 files to have it automatically added to my Music library. That does not happen on IOS. Many thanks in advance for any tips, and a happy Christmas to all.
