Hi, I have never had any missing first syllables, so I cannot comment on that. The update of Bootcamp finally makes it possible again to use the Bootcamp Utility to boot to Mac OS X though. I now use Bootcamp for about 9 years and works great for me. Have tried VM, but found it slow and troublesome. The only thing I am still missing is the ability to read Mac OS X files on Windows, this ended with the new file system I guess. For those times, I have important files in my Dropbox folder, so i can access them any time at any operating system. One note people should be aware of about Bootcamp is that although many people say Windows runs even smoother on Bootcamp than on a native Windows pc, Apple is the one making it possible to run Windows on their Macs. In other words, Apple has to develop the software and drivers for Bootcamp to function properly. The Mac OS X version you are running must support the Windows version you want to use under Bootcamp. Then there’s some lack of (gooed) support for certain hardware, waht can affect perfomance under Windows. I in fact read such case with the new Macbook Pro 16 not performing well under Windows when running certain benchmarks. I can say in the last couple of 9 years there have hbeen only a few updates for Bootcamp. All that said I never had any problems running any version of windows or Mac oS X. Until last update that is… There was installed a new driver for my Wifi module and my speeds dropped to terrible speeds. This was only in Windows. After searching all across the internet I found the problem and could correct it with an older driver. Apple’s support on Bootcamp is not very extensive or even very visible.
