Hi Donna, The sonos port I'm not sure but they have changed names of devices over the passed couple of years
As for the sonos connect, It's to allow you to connect other makes of stereo equipment such as component systems to your sonos speakers I think it also allows you to connect wired speakers to your sonos system as well as the components. There was also a sonos amp again a device for connecting other forms of stereo components to your sonos system.
