I've used a couple of netgear nighthawk devices and the web interface has been
pretty good.

Also now they have a very nice little night hawk / netgear app for the iPhone
that makes life easier for those that want to have access while out of the
house.

Subject: Re: Netgear Nighthawk R8000 accessibility

I've got to caution that being "web based" is no benchmark of accessibility.
If it were that simple, we would never have needed the Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines from the W3C.

Personally speaking, I have had poor results from the default software on these
kinds of devices. While I have no direct experience with this particular
device, I would make sure of my ability to return it for a full refund should
it not work out.

My personal advice is to choose the best hardware I can obtain that is fully
supported by Open WRT:

http://OpenWRT.org

Then, I don't bother with the shipping software any longer than necessary to
replace it with Open WRT whose web interface is quite accessible, should I
choose to use it's web interface. I generally configure mine by making a
terminal connection to the unit over ssh.

Best,

Janina
