Hi Wayne, When powering your machine back on, hold down command+r for a couple of minutes to be certain you are going to boot into recovery mode. Then release the keys and wait. You won’t have speech automatically here so what I usually do while waiting is to try and activate voiceover with command+f5. If voiceover comes on, it means I’m in the recovery mode. There you will find a table with options. I think the last option in the table is disk utility. Position voiceover cursor on it and continue. Once in disk utility you should be able to find terminal in disk utility menu with the usual vo+m key combination. Hope I can remember this right.
