Hi Dave,

I’ve not found away to increase the volume for the start up tone.

I hope someone else will be able to answer this one as my notebooks tone is 
lower volume also and I’d like to increase it.

But unlike the older devices where a pRam reset would increase the volume of 
the start up chime,

In the case of my 2018 MBP,
It actually mutes the tone again requiring you to run the command from terminal 
to get the tone back.

So a reminder on that one.

As reported earlier, I was able to bring up the Mac Startup sound. However, the 
volume is low. Where do I go to increase that particular channel volume/
