I tend to avoid word processors altogether. I usually write my documents in Markdown (for simpler material), or in LaTeX (for more complex texts, such as papers intended for submission to scholarly journals).
I sometimes review or edit a colleague’s work in a word processor, or use it for simple documents, but not for serious writing projects.
