Hello, I am trying to use the Books App to read the “iPad User Guide for IOS 12.3’ on my iPhone 8 which is running IOS 13.4. This is so that I can help a sighted friend set up an old iPad. Using VoiceOver I find the Books App very slow especially when I get to the end of a page. By comparison the Books App on my iMac running the latest Catalina to read the same book is much easier and very responsive. However I would rather read the book on my iPhone away from my office. Do you have any tips on how to read a book on IOS? I am currently using the table of contents to find the start of a chapter and then doing a 2 finger flick down to start reading the text. That works fine until the end of the page and then everything goes silent. No amount of flicking helps. So is there a way to start reading the book from a chosen starting page and then have successive pages read? Strangely if I read a book which is not created by Apple then the 2 finger swipe down does read successive pages continuously with a sound indicator when it moves from one page to the next page. That is great. So why doesn’t this work on books published by Apple? Many thanks for any tips and keep well … Paul Hopewell
