Hi All Hoping the wealth of experience on here can help me with this one. I’m having to send my 11 inch mid-2013 MacBook Air away for a check/service, as it seems to have decided to have a major crash, and nothing we’ve tried has been able to fix it.
When I booked it in for collection today the adviser on the phone told me that I’d have to remove it from its hard shell, as, especially in the current situation, they weren’t prepared to take it with that on. So my Dad and I have literally spent the whole evening trying to remove this blasted shell from the Mac. After hours of swearing etc we’ve finally managed to get it off - we seriously hope we’ve not damaged the Mac in the process. However, this has left me really really nervous about/reluctant to put a shell back on it when I get it back. So I was just wondering if people could give me any advice/ideas/suggestions about what other protective measures I could use instead so I don’t go having to battle with putting another shell on the Mac etc?? If a shell really is the best way of doing it, then could anyone recommend which ones are the most decent/the best?? Many thanks for any help anyone can give with this.
