Hi Jessica,

Yeah difficult one.

I’d contact the teacher and get a list of what is meant to be getting worked on
and if they can provide access to the same services that your daughter is using
and that way you can see what work is there and question her on what she is
working on so that you know what the work load is and type of work as well.

Good luck.

That’s something I unfortunately can’t afford to invest in right now, and
something needs to be. Done soon sense Hannah’s grades are really low, and she
has a tendency to lie and say she’s. Doing her work, and sense not all lessons
are live, and therefore not auditory, I need to know exactly what’s on her
screen VS what she claims to be doing.

Is it going to far to set up a web cam with mic so you can watch / hear what
the kids are doing while studying?

I’ve seen this done with Microsoft certification tests, where they basically
video watch you while your sitting the online exam,

This was a few years ago now but it was a serviceable option at the time.

Hi,

You might wish to look at Chrome Remote Desktop. It’s an extension you can use
with Chrome that may work for you. I’m not sure of how well things will work
from an observation point of view, as most “remote-in” solutions are not
particularly screen reader friendly with respect to reading the others screen
contents.

Later…

I never thought I’d be needing to do this, however, I’ve been getting messages
from Hannah’s teacher stating that she’s not turning in work/checking in on
Microsoft Teams. I’ve finally just made her. Come out of. Her room to do her
work, but would like to know how I can view exactly what’s up on her. Screen,
and know that she’s not just sitting their listening to music with her
headphones on, and unfortunately, constantly hovering over her to make sure
she’s doing it isn’t always going to be an option, for multiple reasons, one of
them being, that not all of her lessons are auditory. Has anyone ever done
this, and if so, what’s involved in getting it set up?
