Simon, just that happened to me once at a state fair not long ago. The woman fell down and it was like watching a slow-motion dream. The cane snapped like a breadstick and they just started to waltz away. I said just what you did, “how my supposed to get home now“, and the husband said I don’t know, put on your sunglasses. I wasn’t very kind in my response.
