I have a 2tb external hard drive connected to my Mac with a wire. last night I got a notification that it hadn't been ejected properly. it was still running so I checked all the connections and they're solid. my Mac doesn't see it any more. what might that mean? is the drive not functioning properly or could there be another reason for this?
