I'm not sure about that. what usually happens in Safari for me is that I'm asked if I want to save this password in Safari and then there are options for save, not now and don't save or something like that. you just hit vo-space for your choice. but maybe you have to have some setting a certain way for that to happen. I'm not sure about that. it might be passwords in the Safari menu. mine even makes up strong passwords for me which I never use because I don't know how to read them.
