You are correct. I too have realised that we have to perform extra steps to accomplish certain outcomes. Yes, in some edit boxes you have to press vo+spacebar to make them editable. This happens regularly in Messages app. In the same app, it’s much harder to navigate now and be sure you know what you are doing. For instance, in Conversations collection, when focusing on a particular thread, the last message used to be read out in full. Now if the message is long, it’s read partly and you have to go to the Messages collection (formerly web view) to read the whole message.
