In following two links from Apple support, you can find a little explanation 
for them. In that explanation, they don’t mention wi-fi related settings, but 
it did the trick for me. According to my info as a Computer and Communication 
Engineering graduate, I think it contains hardware managing settings related to 
sound, … (and other things they mentioned in the articles). They just won’t 
explain it more because most Apple users are not computer engineers. Plus, 
their hardware differs from its competitors.
