Hello,
If you press VO-M twice, you should arrive in the menu extras area of the menu
bar. Now moving right until you hear wifi.
At this point you usually need to press VO-space to activate the menu. Move up
and down the menu until you find the network you want to connect to and then
press return.
At this point the Mac should ask you for any credentials you might need. Note,
if you already have an iPhone, then the iPhone might push the WIFi password to
your computer if bluetooth is on for both systems, and in fact if anybody in
the network has an Apple product running a current OS, it should be able to
push the password to you, I can't remember the exact request process.
