TO be more specific on declining an event…
You can view the table of notifications either by pressing "Inbox" in the
calendars group of the Calendar program toolbar, or selecting view
notifications in the view menu.
This will bring up an unlabeled scroll area and then interact with the table
there. Within this table will be a line for each calendar request you have
received and not replied to. There will be buttons within this line If somebody
else added something to a shared calendar, then there will only be an "OK"
button.
Otherwise there should be accept, maybe and decline buttons.
