I’m a little confused by your questions. In Finder, VO-shift-m still opens context menus of items. That hasn’t changed. Is there a specific area you mean?
As for Messages, type the name of the recipient and hit enter twice. That should put you in the edit field and you can start typing. Take Care John D.
