Just in case it was one of those things you got into by accident, it happens when you flick your way down on the page numbers that are given just above your doc. When you flick one last time, past the last/highest number of pages, bingo you put yourself into the App library.

Once you are in the App library, go to the app switcher and close out all open apps. That should bring you back to the screen where the App library is, then on your phone do what ever command or gesture brings you back to the Home Screen.
