Dear list,
I hope some of you can help with this issue.
I installed Big Sur on a second APFS Volume on Catalina.
The install went well, but while in Catalina, there is a volume on the desktop
called Update.
If I boot into Big Sur there is Macintosh HD, and Big Sur volumes as it should
be. I can even open the Mac HD to browse my Catalina files.
But if booted into Catalina, there is no Big Sur volume on the desktop, Just
Mac HD and Update volumes.
I have searched but did not find a solution for this problem.
In disk Utility the volume is called
com.apple.os.update-35C699ADD439C653A3B09EBD8A30FBD366881244EB7C82207A2E135362FCCB7F
I am scared to touch it because its labeled as
Disk icon, badged as startup volume.
Big Sur APFS System Snapshot • APFS
I don’t know why its labeled as startup disk, when Catalina is my startup disk,
even though it does not say so in disk utility.
Thanks,
Rob
