Maurice:

I hope you picked a audio mixer with a class compliant USB interface. If
yes, you wire it up and set up your Mac software to use that connection.

If not, well that's another story, I'm sorry to say. Using a line input
is probably not what you want to do, though it would work. Your better
option, if your mixer isn't already equipped with a USB interface, is to
purchase an analog USB adaptor.
