good afternoon everyone I just wanted to let everyone know is far is I
know you can not run parallels with any nonvisual access technique.
Meaning Jaws orNvda. Unfortunately the creators of parallels I don't
think knows and or is concerning themselves with access for the blind.
VMware on the other hand does work quite well with Jaws,Nvda I have had
no problems when running a virtual machine with either of these two
Windows-based screen readers. Just FYI I am dictating this message to
the computer by using Dragon for Windows. This program unlike a screen
reader is an absolute resource hog! But seems to be holding up very
well. Just for clarity I don't work for VMware. And have no financial or
other interest. Just wanting to pass along advice. Just so that you are
aware if you are using it for purely personal means meaning you're not
doing Windows on a Mac for a professional reason meaning a job, you can
run VMware for free writing you obtain a noncommercial use license.
There are instructions and all of the details on their website.
Of course be aware with this solution you will have to add this program
to your security and privacy preferences particularly in the
accessibility, Paul discusses, and with the appropriate extension. The
installer will prompt you to make these settings.
I hope this helps someone out? Otherwise be well everyone and to all the
mothers out there hopefully your mother today is going along smoothly.
Please be aware that the advice, and one physician and or statements
written above, are mine. They don't reflect the views of the national
Federation of the blind, or the national Federation of the blind deaf
blind division. Also be aware as I mentioned above I am dictating the
contents of this email to the computer by means of dictation software.
So there may in fact be some unintended errors in the text written
above. If there's something you didn't understand, please reach out to
me and asked me what my original meaning was. I will be glad to help
clear up any potential misunderstandings that may arise as a result of
the above written text.

Hi,
This article has step by step instructions for downloading Windows onto the new
M1 Macs.
It requires an Arm based version of Windows, Parallels, and a Windows Insider
registration.

I’ve decided that it is probably best for me not to put two operating systems
on the same machine.
