Hi, I’ve just had to do this, b because we can’t find our remote. Lol! I don't remember if you need to download the app first, but I found the Apple TV remote in my control center. Once you have the app open and you're connected to your Apple TV, you'll find the usual buttons towards the bottom of your screen. Siri, menu, home, etc. If you want to you Siri, double tap and hold on that button and speak, then release it. This is how I turned on voiceover on the Apple TV, because it was not on. You'll find the directional pad towards the upper middle of your screen. Left, up, right, down, select, etc. That is how your move around the options on your Apple TV. I've kind of found the process cumbersome, but it works.
HTH, Traci PS. I wonder if there's a third-party remote I could purchase. Honestly, I'm not super fond of the remote that comes with the Apple TV. > On May 12, 2021, at 11:43 AM, Chuck Reichel <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Hi List, > Could someone bring me up to speed on how I can use the iPhone as a remote > control for my apple TV gen 4? > Thanks > Chuck > > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor.
