I suppose it depends on your security needs. There's too much personal
information on mine that could be misused by fraudsters or other
organized criminals to take the risk of not encrypting it. Also, it's a
laptop, as will be its replacement. I know how much I'd regret it if
someone stole the machine and started taking advantage of personal
details for identity theft or other malevolent purposes.
