Hello,
Be careful when erasing a Big Sur volume, especially on a M1 computer. The last
time I tried this, I accidentally erased the recovery partition, making the
re-install much slower. On M1 Mac,s there is a special security key on a
special partition of the SSD. If you erase this your computer becomes
completely unusable until managed with special tools if I have read my blogs
correctly.
I would be tempted to create a new admin user and then use the user and group
tools to delete your current user. Or else at least find a lists of steps
online to follow.
