I would also recommend GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) for encrypting sensitive
personal information. In addition, enabling Fire Vault would be a good
idea, if you haven't done so already. This encrypts all of your data
files, just in case you accidentally write sensitive information to a
file that is not otherwise encrypted.

You can install macports and then install a package called GPG (Gnu Privacy

what it is.
If you don’t want to go through the hassles of installing the macports, you can
order (for relatively cheap) GPG Tools. It can also act to encrypt files,
emails and even sign apps that you can later verify. I have it here and I use
it for encrypted emails and digitally signing electronic documents.

Good morning everyone, I am as my subject line states needing to move sensitive
data from a notetaker that is slowly ceasing to function. It will be replaced
but not with a note taker so I’m wanting to put this data on my MacBook Pro but
because it is sensitive data is there a good way to password-protected and/or
otherwise secure this data? I look forward to any responses that anyone may
have.
Please note that I’m dictating this to my phone. There may in fact be errors in

What's popular and usable on MacOS for scanning paper and turning it into plain

I've read positive reports about ABBYY FineReader for Mac, but I haven't used
it personally. They have apparently rewritten the user interface and have
released (or are soon to release) a new version.
