Hi Frank and All, Well, as it turns out, automatic log in was off. This is what I wish as I do Not want my system to automatically log in in case my unit is stolen. In going through the process you recommended, I noticed that my File Vault had been turned on and my disk was encrypted. This happened yesterday during whatever setup process I went through. After I turned off the File Vault and re-booted, everything is back to normal;. Your suggestion certainly got me headed in the right direction and resulted in a great resolution! It’s just too bad that the Accessibility Team at Apple never mentioned this. Thanks for the great assistance!
