This is the first time I have heard support for Read Aloud on the Mac using text to speech from the Kindle app.
Unfortunately, the Kindle app is not accessible with VoiceOver on the Mac so I recommend using Windows, IOS, iPad OS, windows, or an amazon fire Tablet. Some Kindle books can be read with the Echo and Echo Dots.
