I have an old Apple Bluetooth keyboard, probably 2012 or 13, and it seems to be
failing. I get a lot of dead keys or repeating keys or it will just stop
communicating with the MacBook Air. I have to shake things up by typing on the
MacBook airs keyboard and then the Apple Bluetooth keyboard will work again for
a while anyway. It’s really hit or miss and I’m wondering if it just needs a
good cleaning? Or, is it just time to junket. I see the magic keyboard looks to
be the successor to the old Apple Bluetooth keyboard am I right there? If a
cleaning is an order, what do you suggest? Compressed air, or just dunk it in a
vat of soapy water? (Ha ha)
I’ve tried re paring the keyboard but that didn’t seem to help.
