When you press VO-F2 to get the current window name, I expect you are hearing
Inbox 999 unread messages if so, then pressing VO-J should jump you to the
message list. I believe in the default viewing format, Mail has a preview pane,
so once you have a message selected in the message list area, pressing VO-J
again will jump you to the message selected in the message list. If the preview
pane is not visible, pressing vo-J will jump you either back to the list of
mailboxes, or the toolbar depending on which MacOS you are running.
