Hi,

A disclosure triangle is the indicator that tells us whether a folder, or tree, 
is open or closed.  Graphically, for the sighted user, the triangle points to 
the right when it is closed and points down when it’s open.  For us VO users, 
it usually says expanded or collapsed, or open/closed depending on the 
situation.

It sounds to me that somehow you’ve interacted deeply enough that you are 
actually in the level of the triangle itself, not just the row where the 
threaded messages are sitting.
