OK, I misunderstood you that you needed Windows. I mostly agree in that case; I also use Terminal and Linux VMs a lot and rarely need Windows. Even so, I think not having it at all would be a problem; there are just some things you need Windows for, including, yes, Office apps, but also running software only on Windows, like said firmware updater utility. Your situation may differ.
