When you say it didn’t work, what happened? Plug and Play should work with most headphones. The issue is that in there wisdom, Apple made the Mac and iPhone hav different connections. What you will have to do if you want the same headset is get a pair for your mac and then get an lightning to USB adapter for your iPhone.
