It would probably be less costly to run your own e-mail server and host the list there. My personal e-mail is on a server that I manage, hosted at linode.com.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience. As I said, we are still considering moving the list but we have more research to do. Just to give you an idea, at present with our current list membership, Groups IO would charge us approx. $1200 per year to host VIPhone there and this goes up as more folks join. I’m really not wanting to ask for donations so while the cost is not prohibitive, we’d certainly love something a bit cheaper with a decent feature set if we can get it. :) It would also take quite a while to add everyone as Groups IO has more stringent limits on how many people can directly be added / invited each day. Lastly, I’ve sent their customer service a note several days ago now and still have not seen a response. So right now, Google is still the best option in the short-term until we find a better solution. Trust me, we are still looking! :) Anyway, thanks to you all and once again, Mark and I will look into these issues ya’ll are seeing and see what we can do.
