Instead of going to Notifications, try the following instead:
Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
Here you can either check for updates, or download and install an update if it
is available to your machine.

Hi All,

I have a Mac Book Pro that I bought back in 2014, but it tells me it is a late
2013 model. Anyway I keep up with updates. Currently I’m running Big Sir
11.6.3. Over the last few days I’ve been hearing the system tell me that there
is an update of the OS from Big Sir to Monterey. However when I check for
updates it does not indicate an update for the OS to Monterey. The last update
I did earlier this week was to Big Sir 11.6.3. Also its indicating that this
update info is in my notifications and here is the issue. I don’t remember the
command to get to notifications to investigate it further to act on it or at
least clear the notice so I don’t keep being bothered by it.

Can someone please tell me the keyboard command to get to notifications?

Thanks in advance.

Eileen
