Ok will look into those.  I'll try turning VO Mouse cursor tracking off, and 
zoom mouse curser tracking off as well to see if it changes.  I've never 
experienced this until upgrading to 10.6.3 and iTunes 9, so I hope my report to 
Apple does some good, as I like my settings for VO and Zoom the way they're set 
now. If worse came to worse I could just not move the mouse in iTunes and 
navigate with the keys.
