This will depend on exactly what keyboard your client has. If the keyboard is a full sized apple keyboard with a six pack then the function key will actually be the position of where an insert key is on the windows keyboard. In other cases it could be that the function keys don’t have double functionality of media versus function keys and they can just work directly. In all cases if it’s an Apple keyboard, you can certainly switch the keyboard so that the default action of the function keys is to do the function keys that I needed by voice over. There were also various commanders that can be helpful for using voice over functions.
