Just start typing the name of the desired menu option, and focus will be moved to it. Press Return/Enter to select the option, and do the same for any submenu.

Hi, Group. In Jaws, when I am in a menu and hit 5 on numpad, it gives me Key Accelerator, the single letter which activates a menu item when pressed with alt key or the letter by itself.
