Hi,
Here's the link to the Apple Knowledge Base article for the mobile
phones that are supported through iSync under Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, and
10.6:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2824
In addition to the phones supported directly by Apple's iSync
application listed in the document, some additional phones may have
iSync plug-ins that will provide this support. This is particularly
true for newer model phones if the manufacturer provides a plug-in. I
think the Windows Mobile phones are probably not compatible and the
manufacturers generally choose not to provide plug-ins that would make
it easy to transfer information to a Mac. Sorry if my comments were
misleading; I was in the middle of giving directions on how to migrate
contacts for someone using a Nokia phone on another list.
For the Windows Mobile platform, your best bet is probably to use the
Missing Sync ($39.95), as Erik mentioned:

Other than that, I've heard that you can migrate contacts from your PC
to your Mac Address Book using Thunderbird. Here's one (older) page
that turned up in a Google Search:

I don't have any experience with the Windows side of things, though.
If you were trying to go phone to phone, there's a way to migrate the
phone contacts over to an iPhone, for example, by simply inserting the
sim card and then going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and
double tapping the "Import SIM Contacts" option. This may not give
you the formatting that you want, though. Again, this is for the
iPhone, and only based on my reading, no direct experience. I suspect
that this sort of information can be found in the "Take Control of
Switching to the Mac" eBook.
HTH
Cheers,
Esther

Well, Isync was a bit of a bust. It wouldn't see my phone even
though it was paired, which is obnoctious. Missingsync looks like
a better option, but I think I need a missingsync driver for my
phone. It's taking a while because I have to update to missingsync
2.5 from 1.5 and that's not going smoothly for some reason. also,
I seem to have broken my phone in as far as the sim card, which may
be another issue. Some programs don't work too well without a sim.
I'll get this now though. The bit is clamped firmly between my
teeth and I have a whole long weekend to play.

Congrats, Erik,
I think you can may be able use iSync to transfer you contact
data now that you've paired your device.

Guys, I! Am! Stoked! I just paired my windows mobile pocket PC
with my macbook and now I can send and receive files two and from
the phone using my mac. I am ecstatic at this moment in time.
I'm so happy, I think I might even try to rip my contacts and
calender from this thing. If it works then that will be one less
use for my rusty crusty old virtual machine.
