This list might be a better resource than Applevis when it comes to the Mac. For instance, I wanted recommendations for a good FTP app. Applevis had an entry that was several years old and quite frankly, not that good. I asked on one of these lists and got much better results. Also, keep in mind that there are less Mac App store apps than third party ones, and so you could be talking about an impossible resource list.
