Mark,
I got Picard season 1 from iTunes and no audio description. Season 2
is on my wish list but it too appears not to have AD.
Movies from iTunes have a Language heading that can show CC (which
is on every title) and AD if available. But TV series on iTunes does not
have this heading and I don't know if any of the TV series has AD so I
can check.
I have Star Trek TNG, and Voyager. Deep Space Nine is also on my
wish list. Would love to have AD on them.
But, I have a good number of old movies from iTunes and have been
trying to get Apple to add the AD to them for over a year. No joy. Apple
is focused too much on moves produces in the last couple years. Might be
time to rattle their cage.

Hello Everyone,
The television series Star Trek, Picard has been produced with an audio
description track.
Now I know that those who subscribe to Paramount Plus, CBS All Access, etc.
have access to that audio track.
To my surprise, the iTunes Store sells both seasons of Star Trek, Picard,
also. I am assuming that when the third and final season is released in
February, 2023, it will be available for purchase in the iTunes store, as
well.
My question: Has anyone purchased a season of Star Trek, Picard from the
iTunes Store? And if so, was the audio description track included?
Why am I asking when I can simply buy a season and discover the answer for
myself?
Since I plan on buying Star Trek, Picard, normally, I would simply buy the
first season and hope for the best. However, in this instance, the series
is also being sold in the Amazon Prime Video store. And, unlike the product
description in iTunes, Amazon Prime Video clearly labels the series as
having an audio track included with purchase.
While I have purchased several items from the Amazon Prime Video Store,
given a choice, I prefer to purchase my video content from the iTunes Store,
if possible.
So, in short, I was just curious if anyone had purchased the show from
iTunes and if the audio description track had been included with the
purchase.
All replies appreciated,
Mark
