When a meeting is being recorded on a Zoom meeting, how does one deal with that

this done on a Mac?

If you're referring to a permission dialogue for the recording, you should be able to grant or decline permission. If the dialogue doesn't gain focus automatically, you should be able to switch windows or use the VoiceOver application list to bring focus there.

Also, there is a keyboard command (Command-Shift-A) for mute/unmute that should work anywhere in the Zoom application.
