No. If you delete the account from your Mac, it will still be on your iPhone. You shouldn't have any problem doing this. Of course, the best way to resolve this issue is to go to the accounts web portal, and click on the forgot password link. This will allow you to reset the password with something you know. Once you have done that, you will  be able to update the password on both your iPhone and the Mac.
