Hi all,

When I got my current Mac back in 2020, as some of you may recall, I had
problems migrating files from my old Mac. So I decided to transfer my
documents by copying the folder to iCloud, and hoped that I could then download
it onto the new Mac. The download never happened. I’m trying to do some
cleanup, and one thing I would like to do is to get that folder out of iCloud
and have it live locally on my Mac. I have a bunch of old stuff in there that
I want to keep, but that I don’t want to use up iCloud storage to store. Just
to be clear, I have a documents folder in iCloud, but I do not have one in my
user folder. I tried creating one, and was told I couldn’t because that name
was in use. So I copied it from iCloud into my users folder. That worked, but
the folder is called documents - Donna’s MacBook Air, and I’d like it to be
named Documents, and for that to be the folder that opens when I press
CMD-Option-O. I’d also like to delete it from iCloud Drive. Can anyone tell
me how to accomplish this?
TIA,,
Donna
