Hello,
I am running IOS 16.4.1 on my iPhone SE 2020. I often use induction loop
headphones which fit over my hearing aids with tele coil set on and which
connect to my iPhone via an Apple lightning to 3.5 mm jack adapter. My
headphones do not include a microphone.
Until recently I was able to hold phone calls while using these headphones. Now
I can hear the recipient of the pone call on my headphones but they cannot hear
me. If I unplug the headphones then the phone call works normally. As a second
test I tried to record a Voice Memo while wearing the headphones with the
result that the recording was blank, presumably because the headphones caused
the iPhone microphone to no longer work.
As I recently upgraded from IOS 16.4 to 16.4.1 I wonder whether this upgrade
introduced the above problem. Alternatively I may have accidentally changed
some iPhone settings which caused this problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the cause of the problem and what I can do
to fix it.
Many thanks … Paul Hopewell
