Well, that is interesting.  After I saw your message, I decided to try 
activating Siri with my AirPods in.  And as with your hearing aids, I could 
hear the sound just fine.  But, without the AirPods, I can’t hear it, even if I 
hold the phone speaker right up to my ear.  Wonder if the volume is just 
really, really low, or if it only plays when a Bluetooth device is connected.
