Hi Paul, you can swipe up from the bottom with one finger. When you hear the 
first vibration that will take you to where you can type in your password. Once 
you've typed in your password, then you can swipe up, with. The same one finger 
from the edge of the phone, and you literally need to drag it until you hear 
the second vibration, then you will be in the app switcher. Once you appear 
there, let up with that finger. Then once you're there. You can swipe up with 
two fingers and that will close your app. I hope that helps. Then if you have 
other apps that you want open and you don't want to close them. If you have 
multiples, go repeat the same process as you were going to unlock your phone. I 
hope that helps.
