I have used two ways for this - 1 is to use a swipe up or down gesture on the item and it will add or remove the item - 2, click on the item and it will bring you to the pop up page where you can swipe toward the bottom to remove it by swiping on the item amount until zero and then at the right you can then swipe to remove it from cart -
