I'm a big fan of, "use what works". I love apple, but I don't love apple to the exclusion of all else. As far as accessibility is concerned, it should make increasingly less difference what apps you use or who provides them.
I'm interested in this thread because one of my clients wants to use Ichat to make msn video conversations with her webcam, which isn't supported by adium. I looked at the process, but the idea of becoming a server just to get on msn seemed a bit out of the way to me.
